What articles describe
Our articles describe ways in which people may earn extra money, such as flexible online project work. They explain what the work involves and what a provider says about it. They do not tell you what you will be paid.
What decides whether you earn anything
Whether a person earns anything from a provider, and how much, depends on factors that neither the publisher nor this site controls. These include:
- whether you pass the provider’s qualification exam, skill screening and identity check;
- which projects are open for your country, language and subject expertise at the time;
- how many hours you work, and how projects are scheduled;
- the provider’s own terms, which can change.
Pay is set by the provider
The provider sets pay, not the publisher. In the current article, Outlier says contributors are paid weekly and that earnings depend on the hours worked that week. It does not publish one rate for every project.
