Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store. This page explains what First Digest does with them.

Our own cookies

First Digest does not set cookies of its own. The site has no accounts, no forms and no preference settings, so there is nothing that needs a cookie to work.

Analytics and advertising

We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, tag managers or fingerprinting. Because we do not use cookies for tracking, we do not show a cookie banner.

Code loaded from other hosts

The article page loads two standard code libraries, one for styling and one for small interface features such as the question-and-answer list, from public content delivery networks. Your browser contacts those hosts to fetch the files, and they can see technical details such as your IP address. We do not use these libraries to set cookies.

When you follow a link to a provider

Links in the article lead to a provider’s own website. Once you are there, that website’s own cookie notice and privacy notice apply, and we have no control over them.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking cookies will not affect how First Digest works.
